A B Arts commission to write an interactive story experience for 9-13 year olds, in collaboration with Helen Varley Jamieson (digital media artist), Ruby Soho (designer) and Susan Clarke (artistic director). Working with young people in Stoke-on-Trent to produce an immersive story experience to tour libraries and arts centres 2014-2017 with the aim of encouraging young people to continue their lifelong reading journey.
The Salmagundi, is an interactive story experience, using a linear story, there are several entry points to the narrative, which is experienced by the player-protagonist. This was a collaboration between designer, writer and media artist where we sought to produce an experience that appealed to 9-13 year olds. The content is delivered via audio, video, written text and live performance and uses a variety of media such as installation, mobile devices and touch screen computers.
I presented this work at the RIDERS (Research in Interactive Drama Environments, Role-play and Storytelling) summer school at York University.
